All countries of the EU have a reciprocity agreement with Turkey can purchase a property. The only restriction being that the property cannot be on military designated land. The majority of property in Turkey is 'Freehold.'
There are no mortgages available for a foreign citizen secured on a Turkish property. Recent changes in legislation means in theory it is possible, but the logistics makes it very difficult.
Our Associates will prepare a legally binding agreement that will detail your property, type, etc together with the price agreed, payment method and any extras or alterations you require. This contract is binding in Turkish Law and will be in both English and Turkish.
A copy of your passport is taken and then sent to the local military authority that will run a background check to validate your eligibility to purchase the Turkish property. The process normally takes between 2-3 months.
After clearance by the Turkish military you may proceed to purchase your Turkish property investment. This is conducted in the local Land Registry Office where both the buyer and seller enter the details into the Registry Book.
